Dr. Alex Rabinovich

Dr. Alexander Rabinovich earned his Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Orthopaedic Surgery degrees at McMaster University. Following his residency, Dr. Rabinovich completed an accredited orthopaedic surgery fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center (Dallas, Texas, USA) in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Rabinovich is a registered Orthopaedic Surgeon in the province of Ontario and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeon of Canada (FRCSC). Dr. Rabinovich is a member in good standing of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and the Canadian Medical Protective Agency (CMPA). In addition, Dr. Rabinovich is a member of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (COA), Canadian Medical Association (CMA), Ontario Medical Association (OMA), Ontario Orthopaedic Association (OOA), American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), Canadian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (COFAS), and the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators (CSME).

Dr. Rabinovich specializes in adult and paediatric general orthopaedics with a subspecialty in extremity reconstructive surgery, and has been in practice since 2009. Dr. Rabinovich is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University educating and training medical students, residents, physician assistants and surgical fellows. Dr. Rabinovich has a passion for orthopaedic research and continues to publish on various topics.

Dr. Rabinovich has a special interest in foot and ankle care, and is affiliated with the Foot and Ankle Institute at the Hamilton Foot Clinic in treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions of the foot and ankle, complex deformities, diabetic foot problems, arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, fasciitis and neurological disorders.
